More like negotiating to BUY John Lewis. Affirmative Action has won it victories in the legislatures many moons ago, and will NEVER be voted down as long as there is an inordinate fear of being called "racist" by the anti-American left. Trent Lott and John Lewis cannot influence court decisions. Nor can Democrats try to look like they are taking the "high road" on judicial nominations, after their tawdry and total obstruction of the last two years. If Lewis gets bought, it's certain he will get taken to the cleaners. His own side will attack him, while the political "genius", Trent Lott, will deliver for him as effectively as he has delivered for Republicans all his career...
