I was insulted by the reference, as were many of my friends and family. My grandfather was barred from working (NINA) after he immigrated here because he was Irish. He had to lie about his heritage to get carpentry jobs. He worked his ass off til the day he died trying to make enough to live in a world that overtly discriminated against him. Years later, a President, a vermin the world had never seen before, comes along and publicly slurs him and his countrymen.

Personally, I don't care if you were insulted. I was. And so were other Irish. That's why Clinton apologized. But then, he said it again, reminding all of us just how disingenuous he really was.
