I hope that means I can finally get a cheap pre-ban semi-auto rifle. The AWB has got to be one of the most absurd legislative compromises ever. Going after bayonet lugs and flash suppressors because they couldn't ban all semi-autos. They should have just killed the bill instead..but no the legislators had to ban something anything no matter how ridiculous. Bayonets haven't been used with any frequency since before the Civil War, there are no known criminal bayonettings, and certainly flash suppressors aren't giving criminal snipers an unfair advantage in detection. Hell the proponents of the bill had to have semi-auto and fully-auto explained to them halfway through the legislative process. There's gotta be some kind of basic knowledge intelligence test given to prospective lawmakers.
