>>Why are there no attacks on the Vatican?<<

In 1981, Mehmet Ali Agka, a Turk, shot Pope John Paul II in the Vatican. He was hospitalized for three months.

Al Qaeda has plotted at least twice to kill the Pope, 1995, 1999, during trips to the Philippines.

Why no success? Well, the Pope does have Friends in High Places.;^)

It is said that the Third Mystery of Fatima was that someone would try to kill Pope John Paul II but that Mary would prevent it.
