Lizze, After 1 1/2 year, companies are seeing customer visits. This involves, presentations, demo of things like MPLS (tunneling), orders for trials are comming in. There is not only intrest, but sales... This is not to say we are back at the boom days. What is happening is that wi-fi, DSL, ADSL, etc are driving growth at the edge. So, the build out I am seeing is mainly at the edge/metro. This will ultimately flow to the core. Over 3 years the old ATM/Frame relay switches will have to be ripped out and replaced with optical. Who is going to support and maintain these obsolete prodcuts. RFP's have a 50% chance to come to frution. However, some parts of the RFP's do result in sales with future promises... Regards, Immi
