zonder...thanks for your thoughts....! And if all your posts were as thoughtful and non-combative as this one, there could and would be such wonderful discussion with you...
I am afraid too. And I believe that every thinking person on earth is afraid as well. There are mad men trying to overtake the earth, and George W. Bush is DEFINITELY NOT one of them. Read people like Peggy Noonan, and others for a more insightful look into GWB. Read all sorts of regular opinions here and other places on SI, as well as newspapers and books other than just ones that only espouse hate for the Republicans or Democrats.
You said something that just stopped me, because if you have seen this, how could you possibly think that the earth and it's peoples can roll over and just let these despicable people take over....????
You said this: I am afraid of the potential effects of a real war of religion, because I know just how mad fanatical Islam can be and the extents to which they can go for their beliefs. I have seen the madness in their eyes, the absolute conviction, and I am afraid for the future, especially in light of the clueless manner in which Bush et al handle the whole thing.....
I am convinced that all thinking men and women everywhere need to come to grips with this. Before it is too late.
These issues are way beyond politics. They are life, ALL LIFE, on earth itself. 8888888888888888888888888888888
I know I am afraid.
Yes, I am afraid for the future of this planet and everyone on it. I am afraid of the growing abyss between the US and Europe and wonder whether they can fight against the crazies divided thus. I am afraid of the future for everyone given the lack of compassion of some Americans for others who are non-Americans - you might think it is only the non-Americans at danger here but it is not so. I am afraid of the potential effects of a real war of religion, because I know just how mad fanatical Islam can be and the extents to which they can go for their beliefs. I have seen the madness in their eyes, the absolute conviction, and I am afraid for the future, especially in light of the clueless manner in which Bush et al handle the whole thing, which has turned into wary adversaries of even his traditional allies in Europe. |
