UAL is providing a classic example of the "bankruptcy rollercoaster ride" As is frequently the case, any hype or hope that gets tossed into the soup, tends to get the common stock lathered up, even though that stock is of no more real value than toilet tissue (given the fact that the debtholders effectively own the company). I have added beaucoup as it went up and will add more as it descends. It is a dead duck.
