my initial reading and all of my acquisition of books on this subject was conducted in the late '70s and early ?80s

What got you so deeply into it, Steve? I have followed the "conversation" you, Nadine, and Neocon have been having with a lot of interest.

My thoughts on the subject are, "Hey, it's done, what do we do now?" Rather than the "It was the Jews/Arabs fault because of what happened in 1937!" They seem to spend a lot of time over there in this type of dialogue.

We mentioned in our conversations about the Terrorist problem that the Muslim Culture seems to be a troublesome one. This has certainly added to the ME problem. I was reading an "in depth" piece today about the unemployment among the Saudi Citizens, and the trouble there now, and on the horizon, because of it. Take the oil away from Saudi Arabia, and it is difficult to make much out of the sand.
