And if all your posts were as thoughtful and non-combative as this one, there could and would be such wonderful discussion with you...

I try to be calm and "non-combative" but it is not so easy when so many people attack on all sides all the time.

There are mad men trying to overtake the earth, and George W. Bush is DEFINITELY NOT one of them.

You are probably right. However, in his ignorance about politics and interactions with people of other cultures, as well as a certain Texas cowboy attitude, her certainly looks that way. "Overtake the earth" is not all that different from "change non-allies' regimes & install our guys in place" when you look at it from an angle, though.

if you have seen this, how could you possibly think that the earth and it's peoples can roll over and just let these despicable people take over....????

We agree in our wish for the Western school of rational thought to prevail over religious fundamentalism. The debate is over strategy.

US strategy over the threat of religious fundamentalism boils down to "Let's kill the crazies". That could work in a video game where you shoot terrorists as they appear from the windows and come down the rooftops, but we need a real strategy that addresses the causes of the conflict and at the same time cuts support for these religious nutcases from their moderate but frustrated public. This is where I find the current US administration's strategy inadequate, and frankly, quite dangerous.
