U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray begins coverage of Oracle with a "market perform" rating in notes 12/17/02 Analyst Michael Marzolf says recent strength in shares of the software giant is not backed by business fundamentals. Oracle makes the best database management server software, but internal turmoil and bad press over Oracle sales practices have allowed competitors to gain ground, Marzolf says.
