If acknowledging that the Irish have a history of struggles with alcohol and a propensity toward alcoholism is considered a slur by you, then so be it, Bill.

However, I will not allow you, or anyone else, to twist the circumstances of the discussion (originally about Trent Lott's segregationist comments) into an opportunity for personal insults, which is precisely what you and your "friend" did.

What you did yesterday was beneath you, frankly. You disappointed me every bit as much as you claim I offended you.
