My second point is that the US is spending LESS on defense than it has for 50 years. The fact that the US defense budget equals the defense budget of the next 20 countries combined is significant because it provides insight into the relative performance of the US economy over that period. You'll have to excuse me, elmat, but I find it difficult to take your critique of US economic performance seriously, given the geographical origin.
