A basically altruistic person and all-around nice guy... without a disguise (as I understand it, and so easily recognizable!), committing an armed robbery with a plastic gun, in broad daylight, in what was virtually his own neighborhood?? To steal a few thousand- even hundreds of thousands, of dollars worth of merchandise that he'd be lucky to sell for pennies on the dollar?
I can't believe that.

I never met Tim in person, but did get to know him a little via a few phone conversations about various topics, and from what I knew of him, Tim simply wasn't capable of committing that kind of crime. Frankly, unless the entire, unfortunate event was captured on the store's security cameras, I just can't believe it happened exactly as reported. There could be a lot more to the story...

Tim did seem to enjoy the occasional confrontation. Perhaps he had a beef with the store's owner and thought he'd put a scare into the guy...
and something went horribly wrong.
Who knows??

I don't know the store or its owner, and if, indeed, he was an innocent victim, I feel terribly sorry for him, but in that Tim can't speak for himself, I'd just like to say that, in my opinion, a "confrontation" scenario is certainly possible... if not more likely.

Thanks for the good times, Tim.
Rest in peace, My Friend.
