Yeah, patchouli oil.......that stuff sticks, I swear I have some in one nostril from 1968. In the brain, anyway, reminds me of an ethereal lady in a flowing sarong sort of thing, and gumboots. "Floaters", we used to call them, of course they took their gumboots off at the dances. They take you back, the smells...........
Long John Baldry........wow, In the pines, in the pines, where the sun ever shines.........and don't lay no boogey-woogey on the King of Rock and Roll........thank you, sch”nen Dank, merci, muchas gracias.......hadn't thought about him in years, don't have an LP, lost it in a rip-off years ago.....
Bev, how can you hesitate to judge other generations? In fact, read your post again, you just did.....heeheehee.....that's OK, it's our turn, it was done to us and now we pass it on, don't worry, it will be received in the same spirit.......
And the "Skateboarder" generation?.....I have a number of friends among them, many Wednesday nights I play Music Trivia in a bar on a team called "Que Pasa"......I am the Old Guy and get all (OK, many) of the 50s and 60s tunes......free beer if you're good at it....... it takes all kinds to make a generation, imho, just like all the generations before........
Have to agree about the "Seadoo-ers", though, as a kayaker and a Wet Coast surfer, they are scarey and should be banned, but please let me know first so I can sell my Bombardier stock.....<g>........
Gotta go......please, explain "VooDoo Wani"? |
