Ah, well, it's a slippery slope is all.

Open the door to allowing taxpayer money to be spent supporting organizations which practice employment discrimination... and whatever walls we have against discrimination fall lower... and people are allowed to be squeezed to 'swear allegiance' to a particular religious sect before they can get a job paid for by the taxpayers.

I just don't want my tax money being handed out to any organization which practices anything other than "equal opportunity" in employment.

I'd prefer to have religions support themselves... and government money support equal opportunity in employment.

There is a too long and sad history of what can happen when government and religion are inter-mingled.

>>> Religions hiring only their own members, with their own money, that's one thing. With my tax money, that's quite another thing.

>>> It's a personal, and a political, choice for how to best spend tax money.

>>> I don't want any job - financed with taxpayer's money - to be dependent upon joining the Moonies... or the Bab-ists... or Shia... or Christian Scientists, etc.
