The dividing line between an ordinary business and a form of ministry is too acute to allow any slippery slope, as far as I can see. And government and religion remain intermingled in many European countries, without appreciable harm. The Church of England is still official, as is the Evangelical Church of Sweden (Lutheran), and in Germany, although there is no official church, the state collects taxes to support the various denominations, and allocates them according to the proportion of adherents in the population. We are talking about far less entanglement in the Faith Based Initiative......
