the US budget is very quickly becoming a financial mess.

Mostly due to revenue comming in lower then expected due to the recession and 9/11.

Partly due to lower revenue coming in and partly due to the tax cut. In addition, with the increase in military spending, it is expected to worsen this year.

So your wish for a bigger tax cut sounds absurd. How do you expect to pay for it? And what's the justification......R. Reagan had a bigger one?

They are not exaggerated; he is a racist.

Saying that he is obviously a full blown racist is an exageration.

Well, then elected Reps are exaggerating.

Well, you managed to skip over Germany, Canada and Russia.

Russia is not really an ally even if they are no longer an enemy. Germany has become very pacifist lately, I don't see any good reason for us to follow their lead. Canada may not be supporting the move on Saddam much but its not like they hate us or have become our enemy, policy disagreements happen all the time.

Bush acted as if Russia was an ally. Germany has not become pacifist but rather they don't believe the war with Iraq is the one that needs to be fought. The animosity from Canada is the strongest I've experienced. Canadians tend to be less verbally aggressive in public than we are.......so that when one calls our president a moron, its pretty surprising behavior for a Canadian.

As for Jesse Jackson, I'll take your word he's a racist. I think he's a jerk that only has some support/power within the black community.

He can't pass laws but it can influence them, and he also shakes down companies for contributions to his organization.

You really think he influences the making of laws? Maybe in Chicago where he is based but not on the national level.

Accusations of racial bias fade away when they send the check.

I don't know what this means.

Reps. have a bad name when it comes to race.........and its from their own doings. Its karma....you
get back what you put out.

Republicans haven't shown themselves to be any more racist the Dems. I'd even say they are less, but they are also less able to get away with it.

First, its been my personal experience that Reps. are more focused on race than others. Secondly, where there's smoke, there's usually fire, and there's been enough smoke around the Reps. re. this issue.
