A little background info on the paging and wireless industry. Apparently the companies in this group are beginning to receive inquiries from institutional investors again. With Motorola and ERICY doing well investors are looking up and down the food chain at the perpetual EBITDA stories. GEMS is obviously much higher up the chain and I would encourage all to at least stay in to your own degree of comfort. I have not done any serious work on the paging companies but if you were to find a couple of the busted paging companies you might find some future beneficiaries as institutional investors move down the chain. PAGE, APGR, PFNT have all been destroyed and it just might be overdone. If these are too dicey then look at ATI, VCELA the cellular companies. I still think GEMS is the best because they have E(earnings) and G(growth) and no D(debt). Try to avoid any pageing comps with large amounts of debt that is due in the next18 months. If you were a banker would you roll it over without new terms?
