About the VooDoo Wani.... Well, the "VooDoo" part has to do with a little rumour that got started around the workplace....that a dead rat found in the parking lot was actually a "VooDoo Rat" created by Yours Truly.... It was soon held responsible for causing a couple of mechanics to forget to put the oil back in cars after doing oil changes; giving several people continuous migraine headaches; causing people's gold stocks to plummet; sending raging hordes of angry customers into the service department with arm-length lists of complaints about their cars on the day before a Full Moon; and causing pesky nerds with old Ford Cortinas or Mercury Capris to form mile-long queues in front of the parts counter at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon.... "needing" great "shopping lists" of odds and ends for their "sports cars" so that they can work on them over the weekend. And "Wani" has to do with your own remark "See ya later, Alligator"... at the end of a post addressed to me... I decided that that was actually a rather fitting handle to describe someone with a glistening smile who could be preparing to laugh or bite rather fatally according to the prevailing mood, the wind direction, or the alignment of the celestial spheres (to whose music I am acutely attuned)... Oh, and Wani is an word which has a seemingly interchangeable meaning of crocodile or alligator in Japanese.... Oh, and regarding Seadoos... I actually think that you will see some heavy legislation coming down on them in near future if the number of Seadoo "incidents" continues to escalate.... A couple of children were run over and killed by one in Ontario about a week ago... This wasn't the first and most certainly wasn't the last incident of this type that we will see... but this one got a lot of attention and made a lot of already annoyed people very, very angry.... And yes... Long John Baldry...good rowdy fun... I still DO have an album by him... "Everthing Stops For Tea"... IMO a rather good one... Perhaps I will dig it out and play a few cuts later today... ;-} VooDoo Wani
