Mr Robin Forshaw reports
Diamond drilling has resumed on a continuous basis on the Tres Amigos zone of the San Jose de Gracia mineral district. The unforeseen mechanical problems on two drills have been rectified and drilling is now proceeding. To date, four holes have been completed on the Tres Amigos of which assays have been received from two. Drill holes 97-37 and 97-39 were drilled
from the same location. Due to difficult terrain, the holes were drilled parallel to the strike of the Tres Amigos in an easterly direction -60 degrees and -75 degrees.
These were intended to penetrate the 60 degree dipping Tres Amigos zone at the same elevation as the hole No. 13 intercept. Due to the zone steepening and the basement rocks rising to the east, the main vein was not intersected. Both holes intersected a vein higher up in the section. The vein, also intersected in hole 97-13, appears to be strengthening in width and grade as it goes east.
Drill Hole 97-37
----------
From-To Intercept Au Ag Cu Zn
(m) (m) g/t g/t (%) (%)
--------- ------- ----- ---- ---- ----

35.9-37.2 1.3 11.97 15.0 0.19 3.60

97-39
40.2-43.2 3.0 29.50 44.6 0.58 7.45

Drill hole 97-40 was completed at -75 degrees in a southwesterly
direction and intersected the main Tres Amigos system at 110 metres, at which point the zone is over 15 metres thick. Assays for hole 97-40 are expected within one week.
Further ground work between the Tres Amigos and La Prieta targets,
including Rudolfo's vein has resulted in the discovery of mineralized zones previously unknown. Cat trenching and results from 31 chip samples indicate significant values in gold, silver, copper and zinc over a large area. The best sample, across 3.6 metres assayed 34.91 g/t gold, 74 g/t silver, 1.8% copper and 6.1%
zinc. Company geologists and the company's independent engineer now believe the Tres Amigos and Rudolfo areas are within one mineralized system with dimensions 450m x 1,200m. Further work, including drilling, will be carried out to delineate this much enlarged target area as well as the southwest extension of the
Tres Amigos vein.
Results from continuing drilling as well as from other work will be reported as received.
