edit-As i read your post my mouse vanished and my system locked up. i hit Ctrl/alt/delete and computer crashed and order to go in to safe mode came--i went into safe mode then clicked "shutdown" and then got a message "it is now safe to turn-off your computer." But mouse is behaving irradically right now---is that a sign?? :) Max i now have run "device set-up" to mouse, and then clicked o.k. see if that solves this---- nope, mouse is running arou
