If the other guy had a gun, I find that it highly unlikely that you as a security guard in the big city wouldn't unload a whole clip in the dood.
Actually, that is what one of our sergeants recommended we do in a tight situation back then, and he said if we just wounded the person they would probably sue the hell out of us.... but we did'nt have clips in those days, we had a "rotating six shot barrel" manufactured by Colt full of .38 bullets, and unlike Barney Fife, I did not keep the first chamber empty.... Anyway, if I had to discharge my weapon for any reason back then, I did not plan to automatically kill the crook, unless there was no other choice.... Believe me, I thought a lot about that back then, most of us did. |
