Who the hell wants to retire?! Not me.

Don't like the word. It implies sitting in the rocking chair and doing next to nothing with your money. That's NOT being conservative.

Being conservative means avoiding high risk stocks where there's low visibility, too much debt, etc and eschewing speculative tactics like trading on margin, THEN knowing how to apply the standard tools of risk control, and INVEST or TRADE you capital.

Based on the parameters most here have expressed, I've been retired since 1986 when I started trading for a living.

AND....

What the heck is all the focus of the discussion doing on JUST MONEY. There are a lot of ways to make money in this world. But doing something you really enjoy doing? You never want to retire, no matter how much money you've got. And I've made a bundle over the years.

My 1st big killing in the gold sector was during the mega bull market of the 1970s. The early 90s gold bull was a pup by comparison. By the mid-1980s I had everything in place to trade for a living and have been having a blast doing same ever since.

Don't have any more time to post today. Got lots to do. So I'm out of here. You're welcomed to ramble on, rationalizing that inaction and missing major moves in the golds = conservatism, George. Fact is, it DOESN'T.
