OT: Hope someone can offer some drug advice. Not even sure what to ask -- still in shock. My wife is a life-long migraine sufferer. Sansert(R) is the only medicine that helps her avoid attacks -- she has tried everything else, even Botox. She came home from the pharmacy yesterday completely shattered. I thought someone had died. Well, as far as she is concerned, just about as bad. Per the pharmacy, Sansert has been discontinued by the manufacturer (Novartis). As far as we know there is nothing else with the same mechanism of action. . I can hardly believe this could happen. How can a drug company simply quit on people who depend on them? I'm hoping that maybe when a major Pharm stops a small-scale drug, that it's customary for a smaller outfit to pick it up? Do we have any hope here? Any other ideas?
