UPCOMING INVESTOR PRESENTATION AND QUARTERLY EARNINGS CALL
SAN JOSE, Calif., December 19, 2002—KLA-Tencor Corp. (Nasdaq: KLAC), the world leader in
yield management and process control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing and related
industries, today announced that the company will provide a live webcast of its presentation at the
Needham Growth Conference, to be held on January 7, 2003, at 7:00 a.m. (PT).
The company will also provide a live webcast of its upcoming second quarter fiscal 2003 earnings
conference call, scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. (PT).
