You are going to make me late to SFO, but since you asked in such a snippy way, I feel compelled to respond, at the risk of having to pay a porter to get me to the front of the line.
This summer a 14 year old young man from Palau came to live with my wife and me. He is from a family we got to know while we were in Palau. He will be with us for the next four years while he attends, at our expense, the local Catholic high school. Local, that is, because this summer we moved closer to the school so he would be able to walk to and from the campus. In fact, Levan is completing his last semester final (Religous Studies) as we speak. We will be taking him with us to Hawaii, where he can visit some his relatives.
So I guess the answer to your question is yes, we will be taking one less fortunate than oursevlves. And of course, we are more fortunate than ever, having such a great young man like Levan living with us, enriching our lives every day.
Merry Christmas, and have a Happy New Year. Gotta go! |
