FEDERAL CONTRACTS AWARDED IN MARYLAND

WASHINGTON, Dec 19, 2002 (States News Service via COMTEX) -- Five major federal contracts were awarded in Maryland recently, the federal government announced.
Advertisement: Explore Within This Space Cadata Corp., Olney, won a $299,998 contract from the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, Silver Spring, for custodial and janitorial services for the National Weather Service, Sterling, Va.
Information Systems Support, Gaithersburg, won a $66.8 million contract from the General Services Administration to provide information and biometric security technology support to the Army Communications Security Logistics Activity at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
Profiles Placement Services LLC, Baltimore, won a $125,000 contract from the General Services Administration's Federal Supply Service, Fort Worth, Texas, for temporary support services.
Signia-Idt Inc., Gaithersburg, won a $61,000 contract from the Air Force Material Command's Electronic Systems Center, San Antonio, Texas, for research and development work.
Washington Professional Systems, Wheaton, won a $62,595 contract from the Department of Veterans' Affairs' Austin Automation Center for Leitch Analog Video Systems.
