Lott Steps Down as Senate GOP Leader>

I had to laugh last night when Larry Kudlow accused the Democrats of hounding Sen. Lott and not dropping the situation.

How can you watch that sucker? He brings a whole new meaning to the word bias.

Being a Republican, he just couldn't handle the fact that this situation was handled so sloppily compared to the Harvey Pitt or Paul O'Neill situations (and of course he has to blame somebody outside the GOP <g>). I agree with him a lot of the time when it comes to economics but he is such a geek.

Geek? You're being too nice. ;~))

However, there's more to it than he's upset about how it was handled. Kudlow is a conservative Rep who doesn't care much about budget deficits. Prior to the Lott debacle, he had to have been upset with Bush's appointees to the Treasury and as Economic Advisor. Both are far more concerned with budget deficits than Kudlow.

Secondly, Lott is a conservative Rep. Frist is more moderate. Its probably what Kudlow knew or feared.......if Lott fell, a moderate would take his place. And the funniest part of all this kaka..........Kudlow has so praised the GOP and spoken of them and Bush as minor gods, more so than even D.Ray, that he can't possibly eat crow at this point. If he did, it would take most of 2003 and some of 2004 to eat it all. ;~)) ROTFLMAO!!!
