I know, looking at realtor.com or some of these sites makes it look like prices are still way up there but they are not.

The 830K house near me where a builder bought a fixer and put in 100K upgrades has just been removed from the market. He can't rent it, there are 3 or 4 rentals in the area already. That house will sell in the 6's and the non-fixed up's around here... in the 5s or high 4s. Thats at least a 40% haircut from peak and lower than even the mid-90s. I think you did well to sell what you have now- even if you didn't get top dollar!

But don't leave california- you seem to have the right disposition to live here!
