Remember that White Boxes never get listed in these brand name listings when it comes to desktops. Currently they make up about 50% of the total PC desktop marketplace. I would therefore divide all the desktop figures by 2. Apple and Dell make more than half their sales online... so over half of Apple's sales are not showing up in this retail survey.... and White boxes are not purchased by the eduaction market and the typical home consumer... the only two markets Apple is in... and white boxes make up no where near 50% of sales.... the sales they do take up are cutting into dells market share though.... itworld.com
