Pail V.,
I just noticed you asked me about this Fred Hickey commentary. Maybe because I said something about Fred Hickey on another thread... I think most here know I know very little about Applied's business other than the info I get from friends that work there.

WRT Fred Hickey though, the consistent theme I see in his prognostications, is that he in no way includes international growth in his forecasts. The big driver to technology going forward is the internet buildout in china, the factory automation buildout in China and all the infrastructure that goes with outsourced production. At least that is what we are working towards in supply chain software. Fred Hickey never mentions that, he just says "demand for PCs stinks" based on his perusal of the local Circuit City.

I should say I don't know if the china buildout will be bullish for PCs or Applied. I assume it will be bullish at least for Applied.
Lizzie

edit- this is not to say there is no explosive growth in N America anymore... e-commerce is exceeding to the upside, notice the strength in ecommerce stocks amzn and beas.
