Ok. So maybe where he is shopping and researching may be affecting the conclusion? Skewing the picture? Picking a data point in trouble to yield a troubled conclusion?

Seriously? Who buys a PC anymore at CC or Best Buy, right off the shelf? Its not going to run any new games. It will get email just fine. If the AOL (or whatever) graphics doesn't overwhelm the chips inside. I can't imagine what these people are doing on these $500 computers, with no software, when my $3000 machine from year 2000 is barely cranking along with the quotes I have streaming in on my dsl line.

Its like making an assumption that retail stinks based on a trip to KMart. And ignoring reports that WMT checkout lines are 10 deep, cause you didn't "select" them in your data point.

Demand doesn't seem to stink at DELL?
