San Antonio is a very boring place. Austin very good for live music if you are into that. "Live Music Capital of the World", and not too much of an overstatement at that. something like 400 live venues, in a town where you could drive through down town in 15 seconds. i don't think SA is noticeably hotter than Austin. however, to repeat, SA very boring. Austin kind of boring too. but mainly because you cannot drive anywhere from here. it takes 10 hrs to get out of the state going west. and Austin is considered "Central Texas". still, i imagine one can get more house for the money in SA, if boredom not an issue. however, SA has a better zoo than Austin. also, better museums. also, better malls. the biggest problem: it's too hot in the summer.
