Gottfried, based on my observation, the highest traffic count seems to be at Best Buy (I am in search of a new LCD). Most other stores such as Circuit City and Comp USA are doing modest business. Several sales people at CC were complaining that they are losing many sales to the internet as a result of lower prices, no sales tax and free freight offerings (higher end items such as PC's, monitors, TV's, etc.). I have to question the magnitude of this impact, if true, and how the real sales number will eventually come in. Perhaps sales are much stronger than being reported.

Based on my research and to illustrate the difference, I can buy an 18-19 inch Viewsonic LCD for $200-250 less by going through the internet versus a local store such as BEST BUY. To further illustrate the situation, I bought the "ENEMY", aka as pseudo wife, a new RADO watch for a savings of over $300 by ordering over the internet.
