About Hussein… I see him as a Stalinesque character. Heck, even physically he looks like Uncle Joe! –g. Stalin, remember, died in his own bed, although there was no lack of people in his surroundings who feared and hated him. What would Stalin do as he was getting older and crazier, if back then he had nuclear weapons?

With this new situation, when nukes may be close to a point of proliferating beyond control, the world is facing a totally new situation, when many of the previous rules and structures may be outdated and perhaps should no longer apply. If Hussein or blin Laden will not end up triggering a nuclear exchange, then another major terrorist or a dictator will.

Perhaps, if this world is to survive, there can be no longer such a thing as a country’s “internal affairs” in the traditional meaning. Perhaps, thugocracies and dictatorships must be made illegal.
