Ah yes, the rich have tax write-offs and loopholes.
So why do they need a tax break? I agree. The few years I've been rich I took so many legal write-offs I never paid more than 22%. Any rich person who pays more than your average factory worker in taxes (by percentage) has a lousy accountant. The US has the lowest tax rates for the rich in the western world. We're actually a tax haven. Already. But taxes from the rich pay for much of our vital programs in this country which will have to be cut if Bush delivers the record deficits predicted. people wont be happy then when they find Bush has bankrupted Social Security so the rich can pay even less. Payroll tax cuts make much more sense and are fair. Estate tax cuts are a time-bomb waiting to blow up our treasury.
