There are a couple of interesting-looking articles in the new Foreign Affairs

Yes, there are. I posted a short impression of the Ajami piece. I am getting a feeling from the Public Intellectual "Fencesetters" that they are frustrated with the Arabs and leaning more and more toward "Slum Clearance." Ajami is certainly there. Friedman is being dragged there, kicking and screaming.

You are so unhappy with our present leadership that I think I am detecting a hint of "Paleoconservative" in your postings. I am very happy with the leadership. I think the mix of Cheny, Powell, and Rumsfeld gives Bush a terrific group to give him choices. And I think he is strong enough to make and carry out a good choice. He has his Father's mistakes to learn from.

Are you ready to join the "Buchanan" camp? Here is a link to the lead article by him in his Magazine. amconmag.com
