Just catch the ones that say, "Hey Mohammad, who ya taking to the Suicide Bombing this weekend?" LOL! That's the irony. Those conversations about 9/11 were known in advance already, without Patriot Act / Homeland Defense legislation. Known not only by NSA/CIA and FBI, but several foreign intel services. For some reason sources within our gov't told American agents to stand down their watch over bin Laden, etc. That little problem doesn't get solved by increasing surveillance of Americans by their government, but by the reverse, greater surveillance of the inner incompetent and criminal workings of government by the American people. Since that surveillance of our government will take place primarily via the internet, until those questions get resolved, monitoring technology is more likely to be used to locate and suppress collective inquiry and become a threat to our security. We'll know if that's true, if some political essayist, "conspiracy nut", highly critical of Bush, gets raided for "terrorism" under the new Homeland Defense Act for purely political reasons... indybay.org voxnyc.com
