Smith Barney said on Friday it raised its recommendation for Mexican telephone company TELEFONOS DE MEXICO S.A. DE C.V. (up 1-1/4 to 53-1/8 at 10:30 am EDT) to outperform from neutral. "Local revenue growth should be strong. Economic recovery should bring positive surprises in volume and line growth," analyst Peter Treadway said in a report.
