Perhaps the thing that is bothering people is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of evidence of the activities she is suggesting that OBL was active in. Without that evidence, it makes her appear as an apologist for OBL. Further, to suggest that the USA hasn't been doing these things, when the country that has contributed the most to places like Afghanistan and Pakistan and Egypt, etc... is the USA.
Since the argument that she has put forward as to why he has support is not supported by evidence, it makes her conclusion questionable....and it also makes her appear to be biased in favor of OBL. IMO, of course.
"He's been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. We haven't done that. [WE haven't done that. I think Ms. Murray thinks we could protect our interests better if we HAD done that. Ms. Murray wants to see our country safer, obviously]
