I honestly didn't realize that your perspective was so isolationist, essentially disagreeing with any foreign assistance to anyone, while Americans still go hungry... Oh, no you don't. You're the one who said we could bring our success to others. Well, first we have to succeed within our country. This has nothing to do with isolationism, but rather the practicality of supporting our own. If we're not solid, solvent, thriving, we can hardly go on giving to others. Charity begins at home, and in this disastrous economy, we really need to help ourselves.

So we can let those Afghanis starve now... Forget about the Africans living in starvation and sqalor because they have too many kids and don't use birth control..

Forget about all the people south of our US border who lack any economic future... Ignore their pleas to come across our borders to find work so they can feed their families...

Let 'em all starve, right Karen?? Just wrap ourselves up in our big, warm, "stars and stripes" comforter and act like the the rest of the world doesn't exist...

Ok... I think I understand your perspective better now...

Are you a Depression Era baby??
No i'm not a depression era person, are you?

And you're still twisting things into some weird mental mobius of your own making. Certainly not a thing you say nor any conclusion you make has any basis whatsoever in reality.

And no, i don't want anyone to starve or suffer. That's a rightwing agenda, as when I told a rightwing friend how horrid ithought it was that millions would starve in Afghanistan and he said, which is typical rightwing, that he didn't care. That's what I'm against, this inhumanity to others. I don't like it, I don't promote it and I'm aghast at the racism and inhumanity of the right. So don't go dumping that on me.

As for our Mexican neighbors, one of the right right here on this board posted a scathing article about the Mexican people.

I just came back from SoCal and I'm the first to tell you, the nicest most polite people I came across down there were Hispanic. They want the American dream as much as anyone, and in my estimation, their multiculturalism, Spanish, Indian and American probably opens their eyes to more possibilities. Their command of two languages gives them a broader perspective and I believe they will be and are an asset to this country, which they love too.

Now if your only purpose is to find fault with me by using specious means and claiming I said something that I didn't, then we should knock off conversing for now. Because you are totally wrong. Totally.
