And no, i don't want anyone to starve or suffer. That's a rightwing agenda,

Funny... you're the one criticizing the fact that the US is currently in Afghanistan and that "our solution" is not working... that there is still "turmoil" there because hundreds of thousands (millions?) of Afghanis suddenly have returned sensing some hope.. And the opportunity to receive US sponsored food support..

And combining that with stating that you didn't want our taxpayer dollars going outside of the country until all of our people here are taken care of, I just imagine that you were one of these people who just didn't care about non-Americans. The "let 'em starve" types you claim those nasty "right-wingers" (like me??) really are...

Truly Amusing... And of course the US leaving Afghanistan now will ensure that all of those people are fed, right?? That they will not be enslaved by one warlord or another... right??

Yeah... You want a utopia, but have apparently little grasp of how to achieve it, let alone the obstacles that stand in the way.

I'm advocating a solution that will take one country, Iraq, and reshape it into something that potentially could be at least a pseudo democratic society (possibly parliamentarian monarchy under Hashemite rule).. A cornerstone to changing and forever altering the social structure in the region..

Something that will encourage people to remain HOME and find prosperity, not be forced to flee elsewhere, making the plight of our already miserable poor even worse as cheap overseas labors competes with them for jobs and welfare benefits...

What you advocate requires shooting up our borders Karen.. Preventing anyone from coming in and competing with domestic labor for scarce jobs.

And Karen..

Btw, Karen... I would suggest that everyone go and see "Gangs of New York" (several times for yourself) so you might just understand what REAL TURMOIL is about...

The movie, according to historians, might overplay the actual bloodshed, but it underplays the miserable condition of the people living in NYC during that period, as well as the massive discrimination against the Irish.
