That poem is lovely. A throwback, no? I promise to study it, to understand.

I always wondered where those minks, ermines, and sables went after I took them to the Pacific Hide and Fur Depot. There were no minks on the bed in our house. They hung from the joists on stretchers. I wish I'd kept just one.

I didn't like that Hugo died at age 58, the exact age that I am now. I hope I will live a bit longer. Perhaps I shall, there being no laments in my life for burnt taverns.
