I know there are some people who can trade profitably most of the time. Zeev Head comes to mind. And I have nothing but admiration for people who are good at this year in and year out.

But trading is hard work and risky. Many traders burn out in time.

I am not knocking trading. Not at all. I do plenty of it myself. Just trying to point out that most people should not COUNT on trading profits to pay the bills. And especially so if they are retired.
