Since there are no fuel costs, the cost of production of windmills is calculated by amortizing the installation costs over 20 years, and calculating expected maintenance costs over that time period. They are already on a par with conventional power plants, with costs dropping with experience. I realize the no pollution part of windmills doesn't sit very well with Cheney and his parrots here, but you will learn to live with it. Progress is being made DESPITE the current administration trying to block the way.
