Visual MFC C++ is passe as well. Look into Visual.Net and you will see that the majority of web based distributed application developemnt will be occuring in windows amazon.com amazon.com Above is amazon's list of books available on the subject. It has taken off faster than any of Microsoft's previous application development environments. I have used .net for a small project, and I am currently using the web services aspect to creaste a front end to a hardware device I am designing. It is relatively easy to get all this done from deign tools to deployment.
