Yes, you are right. It's a bit like putting everything on number 23 and spinning the wheel. . . . or getting a second mortgage to finance a margin call, to play a hunch or to increase your bank. . . .all of it represents a serious gambling problem. Left unattended, it can lead to loss of job, family, home and certainly self-esteem. Gamblers Anonymous does a very good job of helping people through this addictive behavior and should be consulted when evidence of such activity is present. I can tell you that there are many people on the net that should have consulted someone before making an irrational and eventually life-changing decision. I always dislike saying these things, but then again, I regret not saying them more often.
