I do believe leukemia is the culprit. It could have been smoke or drink, because he indulged in both to the max.

Now why is "Under Minks" the only "happy" childhood poem in your heart? You are not a morose person, so why?

As it happens, my new poem is a poem of childhood. It is still cooking. Developing....

Minks are feisty little creatures, indeed. I'm glad they aren't any bigger. I've been bitten by their tree-dwelling cousin, the pine marten (in Russia, they are called sables). However, I'm afraid I am the more dangerous to them than they to me. I will spare you the details.
