They certainly didn't seem to be able to find anything positive to say
in the announcement. Nothing about bookings for the new product line.

They have turned the company in a much better direction, and I think
that if some company were to buy it, it is more valuable now. Not in
the sense of the book value, but in the capability to develop and
market remote access routers. They are right across the parking lot
from 3COM in Westboro (the old USRX division there). Maybe their
product line is a good fit for someone who is also looking for more
development capability. There are plenty of companies with lots of
money that are expanding their communications businesses: Intel and
Compaq are two. If that were the direction to take (and I think every
small comm. company right now must be thinking about that), building
up the OpenRoute name with advertising doesn't seem like a good move.
Another product would be great. The company can last long enough
to develop several more, but they have to be winners.
