As I read the quote, I thought it was going to be Ashcroft at the end. You may have seen in the last few days one of the many polls that we live for. The majority of Americans believe that we are more secure than we were at 9/11 [no doubt jla would fall into that category]. Yet, here's an article today that extracts the opinion mainly of members within the Administration as to our progress..... washingtonpost.com I think the Washington Post, in this case, is being generous with the title. It's a very straight forward argument using only those statements from the Administration to conclude that we are worse off today [the threat has increased and we are just as vulnerable; probably more so in some respects] then we were 9/11 [which I believe]. jttmab
